Not Enough Branches on the Tree
Abandonment is not always deliberate or intentional, but it is a behavior that can be linked to one’s own family dynamic when coming together to establish a new union. However, when abandonment is part of the foundation, it is destined to disintegrate.
I wrote this book to show readers that even though painful, abandonment cannot be helped in certain situations.
B. Sweets Eley is a writer, playwright, actress, producer, director, children’s book author, and philanthropist, currently residing in Augusta, Georgia. She is originally from Brooklyn, New York and has written numerous poems and short stories. B. Sweets wrote, produced, and directed her first play in 2011, entitled Peace be Still, under her production company, Beulahlocks Productions, LLC.
She also wrote and self-published her first children’s book, called Pookers, Because I Wanted It, in 2013, while undergoing cancer treatment. In addition, in 2018, she wrote her second play, entitled Waiting to Dye, which was showcased off Broadway at the A.R.T. Theatre on 53rd Street, New York City. “And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.” (Matthew 25:15)
